Parks In Pinecrest
Coral Pine Park – an active 9 acre park opened daily from 8 am to 10 pm. It includes an all-purpose field, 6 lighted tennis courts, a recreation center, and a tot lot.
Flagler Grove Park – the facility is opened daily. This 3-acre park is comprised of playground and soccer fields.
Evelyn Greer Park – this 10-acre park is opened daily to visitors. It has a softball field, soccer field, tot lot, batting cages, and a recreation center. In 2005, it was stated as one of the best playgrounds in South Florida.
Suniland Park – this 10-acre park includes a baseball and football field. There are also batting cages, basketball courts, a recreation center, and tot lot.
Veterans Wayside Park – a 4.5-acre park with a picnic area, a freshwater lake, and open recreation areas. The park was named in honor of the men and women of Armed Forces of The United States.
Another interesting thing to do in this area is to visit its popular Flea Market. There are different things offered in this market, you get to buy books, clothing, and organic produce.
Education In Pinecrest
Education is not an issue in Pinecrest because a number of private and public schools surround the place. Some of these public schools are the Palmetto Elementary, Miami Palmetto Senior High, Pinecrest Elementary, and Palmetto Middle. The private schools, on the other hand, include Bet Shira Congregation, Gulliver Preparatory, Pinecrest Presbyterian, St. Louis Covenant, Temple Beth Am, and Kendall United Methodist. Some other private high schools include the Gulliver Preparatory School and the American Academy of Pinecrest.
